The blessings of the temple alone are sufficient to render us the most blessed people upon the earth!
In the days of King Solomon (son of David), Hiram king of Tyre helped gather the finest of the finest materials possible to build a temple of God!
In the Meridian of time, the Temple had been polluted and corrupted. Merchants gathered therein to sell and trade. There was at the time, no place on earth where the ordinances of the gospel could be properly performed!
And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. (Luke 9:58)
God’s reestablishment of the truths and ordinances of his gospel among men on earth. The gospel of Jesus Christ was lost from the earth through the apostasy that took place following the earthly ministry of Christ’s Apostles. That apostasy made necessary the restoration of the gospel. Through visions, the ministering of angels, and revelations to men on the earth, God restored the gospel. The Restoration started with the Prophet Joseph Smith (JS—H 1:1–75; D&C 128:20–21) and has continued to the present through the work of the Lord’s living prophets.
- The Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains:Isa. 2:2; ( Micah 4:2; 2 Ne. 12:2; )
